Charting CM

Hi

Im TTC and im charting my CM.
I read up on how it should look and feel when you are fertile.

I found that when i wiped I had wet slightly stretchy discharge, and figured ovulation would happen soon.
But when I inserted a finger (after id wiped) up to my cervix, I found it to be creamy, scant and not stretchy.
So im a little confused.

Am I fertile now or not as i appear to have two different types of CM.

Help please :-)

Hi there,

I went through the whole charting thing for 6months before i got pregnant. Charting is great if you know what you are doing trust me i never got it right. CM is really hard to read because so many factors can change the look and feel of it. i think i stressed out more in the whole charting process spending countless money on ovualtion kits and the ov watch. I have pcos no periods untill i would take provera and all these things dont work for people with pcos. so if you the lucky ones charting will work and these kits but my ob was like dont stress on the whole charting thing just follow this rule have sex every other day and bingo. the month i got pregnant i really didn't chart at all just sex every other day(not during your periods) and i got this fertile focus microscope $30 which is really doesn't take too much effort from you and gives you a peace of mind. good luck

I found that you need to check your cervix which is where the fertile cm needs to be anyway. Go to fertility friend and it teaches you and how to check. Before you really learn your body you need to check several times a day. They have a chart and I did not do the pay thing after the free trial but you can still look at others charts and really learn how to chart. THey have a course they send to your email about charting to read, it was very imformative! Also some woman check CM but do not check the posotion and feel and openness of theri cervix which is vital! If it is closed you will not get pregnant! I had good CM at times days before I would O.

If you BD to much you can sry up your DH sperm count also even if it is normal or high. My RE says to every other day no more then three times a week, then on the day of O and the next day. I only have the one tube so I learned all this stuff casue I wanted my best chances every month. Also I had to take progesterone and the egg only lives 12 hours and I had to take my meds the next night after I had O'd

It does take a while to learn your body but you can do it and the more you read the better. Also temping makes it easier!

Yes i had sex last night.
Is that what it could be because im so unsure lol.
There are so many different websites telling you different things and im just so confused by it all.
Would semen go like how i described then (once inside the body)

Should I just chart my CM by how it looks on the tissue then?

are u sure that is not semen inside? i mean if u hv had intercourse recently the possiblity of semen inside is high. and u can actually check ur CM at the opening of ur vagina itself. fertile CM will b just like egg white, gud luck wid ur ttc
