I'm 36 weeks today and I have an appointment tomorrow. They will start checking to see if I'm dilating yet. Is it painful when they check? When they did my pap smear I was in pain plus I almost passed out.
Depends on the doctor usually. I'm 34 weeks and depending on which of my doctor's check mine depend on how it feels. On the first pregnancy they told me to ball my fist and place them under the lower part of my back.
I was told there was no real point in checking dilation. They said its uncomfortable and painful for for people. I had a friend tell me it was worse then getting her pap smear done. My pap was really painful and I almost passed out. so i am happy i wont have to be checked until i go into labor.
