My husband, who is circumcised, was very against getting our first son circumcised. I wasn't sure what to think or do, so I asked like, 4 or 5 different doctors what their thoughts were and they all told me the same thing, that has basically become a social norm. They all told me there really is no benefit to get it done. After thinking about it, after hearing what they all told me, it just seemed cruel to do that to a baby, so we didn't put him through it. Almost 4 and yet to have an issue. I also have a friend who has 2 boys, 7 and 9, and both are circumcised and both have had infections, and one healed funny so he always has problems with his penis. My nephew was done, but it looks weird, like its only half circumcised. So I guess all I can say is, its can be wrong or right no matter what you choose. There are pros and cons to both. I do suggest asking doctors though, just to see what they say and do what you feel is necessary, or are more comfortable with.
My son is circumsized. My insurance covered it so it was free for me but it would've costed $250
Yup my son will be circumcised I have dated two guys who had uncircumcised members and its alot of up keep lol
Biologically they have proven that it does not raise infections in boys, nor cause women cervical cancer, or benefit the boy in any way. Except they have had study's that show a low chance of contracting HIV if circumcised but that is only in men of certain cultures who have multiple partners. Other than that there is no benefit to circumcision. It's a cultural thing now.
We're defiantly goin' to have our son circumcised. Hopefully It won't be too expensive, but It's a price we're willing to take.
Im takin my son to have it done tmro
It's not covered by health care for a very good reason. It isn't health care!!
Most of the world's men have all we were born with - the vast majority of the men in the developed world - and we don't have any special problems with it. On the contrary, we enjoy "a symphony of sensation" from its >20,000 specialised nerves. Getting circumcised in adulthood has been compared to going colour-blind. Would you make your son colour-blind if you could? Or make him unable to see in 3D, by having one eye put out? Of course not!
The whole of the English-speaking world started circumcising, and outside the USA, found it did no good and gave it up. And now the USA has more HIV than most European countries. So much for that. (The cervical cancer claim is simply false. There is no connection.)
It certainly is a personal choice, and there's only one person who has any right to make that choice, when he is old enough. He'll almost always choose to keep it all.
I am getting my son circumcised. There tend to be more health issues in men that are not and they've actually linked an increased risk in cervical cancer for woman whose sexual partners are not. Not to mention I'd hate for my son to be the one guy in the locker room who was different. I think it's a matter of personal choice and whether the other men in your sons life are or aren't, especially his father and brothers
im getting my son circumsized. it will only cost me 100$
I am because there are so many things that can happen by not doing it. I asked my husband (who is circumsized) if he is glad his mom did it as a baby or would he rather have taken the chance of having to have it done asan adult or older child if there was problems. He said that it really wasn't an option to "hope for the best" when it comes to a penis & is quite satisfiedwith the decision to do it. Also, there is a higher risk of your son's wife having cervical cancer if he isn't circumsized. I figure I'm making a choice to not have him go through possible surgery later in life & his wife.
We are having a girl, but if she would have been a boy we would most deff gotten him circumcised... in the future when we have a boy we deff will.
Getting circumcised is what all of the boys in my family do my husband and his side dont :' i didn't even think about what uncircumcised winkies would or wouldn't be like til i met my hubby and even then i just assumed that he was before we started being together lol now its not a big deal for me and i highly doubt we'll get our baby boy cut
I had my son done the day after he was born.. It didnt even bother him.
I'm definitely getting it done for my little man.
YES on getting it done, I had my son circumcised and if this one is a boy..hubby and I will be getting it done again. Medicaid paid for it with my first and I picked the same plan this time around just in case it happens to be another boy!
We will be getting our son done in the hospital shortly after birth.
im 10000 percent getting it done im having a son in may and thats the first thing im doing lol u can get big infections if u dont
Well my boyfriend's is done, and I think it would be nice if my son was the same. Plus all of the benefits I've read up on. Thanks!
I am definitely getting my son circumcised. The benefits out weigh the risks. And can you imagine if your husbands wasn't done? Lol I think he will thank me when he is older.
I have 2 boys and I didn't want my boys to get that. Me and my husband dnt like that. Idk is kindda weird for me lol.. But I respect everyone elses way of thinking!!..
If I have a boy I am going to....I read up on it and it just seems better
I am.. not sure what is the procedure of it in UK but i m hoping its free...
