interested to kno what happen having my second boy and keep getting watery discharge for past few days. plus been wakin up like Im going to throw up. wat should i do sometimes feel like i gotta pee and barely anything comes out. im 39 wks and 4 days and bby very active last seen doc a week ago and don't see her for 4 more days wat should i do.
Everything you just said happened to me for 2 full months during my pregnancy. They put me on bedrest but it continued to happen. They told me not to worry unless it started to feel like I was gushing water, or if the discharge turned colors and was no longer clear. You should be ok, just take it a little easy. And Congrats!
Thanks Ashelen! I think also what adds to my worry is the fact that this is my 4th pregnancy and I never had this with any of my previous pregnancies! I feel like a first time mom again lol. I also had some slight real contractions 2 weeks ago mixed in with some braxton hicks but my doctor already knows about that. However, putting that with the watery discharge also adds to my concern!
Hey I just saw your status...I'm glad you're calling the doc, but I wanted to let you know that I had the same thing happen when I was pregnant with my second baby...I would get my underwear pretty soaked with clear, completely watery, scent-free discharge...I would reach down to feel and my hand would come away wet as if with water....well, at 39wks and 4days when they induced me, my bag of waters was sagging out of my cervix - completely intact with no leaks.
It can just be one of those things that occurs late in pregnancy, and I've heard of other women having it without a leak as well...but definitely DEFINITELY best to call your doctor.
Yes I am going to call first thing in the morning. I would rather them tell me what they want me to do than me wait and then get fussed at or worse, something bad happen. I honestly never thought anything major about it at first until I read an email that I got and it was about symptoms to be concerned about in late pregnancy. It mentioned a change in discharge to watery. Then I started to get worried!
It could be amniotic fluid leaking...but it could just be nothing to worry about. Because you dont know what it is..and it doesnt sound like that happens in pregnancies, call your doctor now, dont wait 4 days. call and ask..and then they will probably tell you what to do. if you wait 4 days it might be too late. I would freak out if this happened to me.
I have been thinking about it and I will definitely call them when I wake up in the morning. I haven't had any watery discharge today, but it has just been on my mind. I will call them and let them know in the morning and see if they want me to come on in or just wait until my appt. on Thurs. Part of me feels like I am probably just being worried about nothing. I have never had these issues before so I feel like this is my first pregnancy lol
I would call your doc then. Even if it's a small amount, I assume they would want to test to make sure whether or not it is amniotic fluid. Does your doctor's office have a weekend call service? I would start there personally.
When I have the watery discharge, there is absolutely nothing to it. It is just like water. I have a regular slightly tacky discharge in between the random times that I have these watery discharges. That is one of the reasons I've been slightly worried about it. The watery discharge is exactly like water with no consistency of regular cervical discharge at all. Not much comes out though, just enough to make it look like I had accidentally slightly wet myself (for lack of a better explanation). That area of my panties gets wet and there is just enough to dampen my pants in that area as well.
I agree with the PP to tell your doc and they can check if it is amniotic fluid. When my water broke with my daughter, it was a lot, soaking a sanitary pad every few hours or less. It was really very much like water, with no consistency as cervical discharge (all forms I have encountered as sticky to some extent). If you're comfortable with checking, you could rub some between your fingers to check to see how tacky it is.
It could be normal, but I would tell your Dr about it and have them check just to make sure your not leaking amniotic fluid.
