Confused, Confused, Confused...And in Pain...

Good Morning Ladies,

I could really use your help.  I normally feel like I have a pretty good feel and knowledge of what is going on with my body, but I have to say, I am really confused right now.

I chart on FF as a form of natural family planning.  At first, my cycles were really long, but I had just had a baby, was breastfeeding and had gotten off the pill, so those were all contributing factors to that.  I knew I'd get back to normal and I did.  So, for the past few months, I have been Oing on CD 14 to CD17.  So, this cycle, I was waiting and waiting.  FF finally said that I Oed on CD22.  MedHelp says I Oed on CD23, so I don't know which one is correct.  So, those days would have been on Thursday and Friday.  Well, I started having really bad ovary pain during that time, but that spilled into the weekend.  The pain was so bad that it started going into my lower back.  At first, it was my right ovary and my right lower back.  Now, my right ovary still hurts some but my lower back is killing me all the way across.

I know this is long and I'm sorry about that, but what do you think could be going on?  Just some ideas.....At first I thought the delay in ovulation was due to stress.  I have been under a lot the past few weeks, but now that I am having this horrible back/ovary pain, I am beginning to wonder if I don't possibly have a cyst on my ovary????  I have had them in the past, but only when I was pregnant, which is very common and normal.  To my knowledge, I haven't had cysts on my ovaries other than that.

Have any of you got any ideas??  If you think it's a cyst, what are cyst symptoms??  Would it be what I am describing?

Oh, and we BDed on CD21, so if I did O on CD 22, pregnancy would be a possibility, but it would be way to early to feel anything like this I would think.  I don't even think implantation would be happening yet, as it typically happens 6-10 dpo.

Okay, sorry so long and for the rambling....Just trying to give all the info. I can think of.

Thanks,
Michele

Thank you all for your responses.

Mumita - Yeah, it's very painful.  It's affecting me very badly.  I have to get up really slow.  But I know for sure that I Oed already since I chart my temps.  And my EWCM is gone.  That's what I'm confused about.  I just don't know why I would still be in so much pain since I already Oed.  My back is just killing me.  I even have one of those Thermacare heating pads on plus I have taken Tylenol just on the off chance that conception is taking place, but I haven't gotten any relief.  I could go for a good muscle relaxer, but I know that's not an option with the possibility of being pregnant.  I'll just have to wait it out I suppose.

I did put a call in to my doc, but haven't heard back from him yet.  He will probably want to see me would be my guess.

Thank you all again, and I will keep you posted :)

My ovulation pain is usually very painful where I have to take something like advil or aspirin because it really really hurts.  I usually have ewcm along with the pain and some watery discharge too.  After my mc in june I have weird pains in my ovaries and sometimes the O pain is really really bad and my cycles have gotten pretty irregular since my mc sooo the O pain is my sign that I'm O'ing.
You could be O'ing and maybe you did develop a cyst.  I mean every month we all develop a luteal cyst that goes away in a couple of days after but sometimes you get a huge one and it takes a while to heal.  I've gotten pretty bad O pains that have lasted a week or more with a dull mild pain on that side as if I bruised my ovary, othertimes the pain just lasts a day and then its gone.
I'd recommend taking Aspirin if you are not allergic because it thins out your blood and it kinda helps to break down those cysts.  If you are ttc then just take tylenol, it'll take away the pain.

When I was younger I had the same things happening to me.  I was in so much pain i couldn't even walk.  After lots of tests and an exploratory surgery they found cysts on my ovaries and fallopian tubes....if it continues get checked out.

i  had a cyst on my ovary that i just had removed in Aug. It was a dermoid which can be painful, though mine was not until the last couple weeks before surgery. I could have had it for a year and not known. It was just a dull ache that throbbed every once in a while. Mine didn't bring cramping along, nor did it change my cycle, but that could just be from the type of cyst I had. If you're really worried about it and its just stressing you out I would get checked out. Better safe then sorry. I have been cramping for a week and a half! and I am due to start my period any day now. I had some weird stuff going on around O time too. I was getting some good pains from my ovary as well. But with me just having surgery, I expect some twinges and pains from there anyways..

I don't know if this helps but good luck!

Thanks Laura.  Yeah, the pain is really bad, but I don't have any bleeding.  It's kind of wierd.  I will feel wet, even like I have something coming out (sorry TMI), but then I go to the bathroom and nothing.  I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light.  I will probably have to go to the doctor for any concrete answers, but I wanted to come on here too.  Don't know how long it will take to get into the doctor and I'm not even sure if I should go that route....I guess I will see what everyone says here and go from there.

Thanks again for your response :)

I am not sure..

I did have a cyst once and it ruptured, but wasn't attached to anything (thankfully) so I bled like crazy ( I mean I was terrified at the amount of blood) and had crapms, but the blood was my huge sign...

Keep us posted.. I am sorry I have no advice!
