Confused about gestational and fetal age.

I went in for my first trimester ultrasound and measured 11 weeks, 6 days. Which was only 4 days off from what I was supposed to measure. Then, my 2nd trimester ultrasound said I was 19 and 1. I was wondering when they do ultrasounds is that measuring gestation al age or actual fetal age? And is fetal age actually 2 weeks less than gestational age? I really need to know the answer from someone who deals with ultrasounds and pregnancy on a regular basis. Also, I'm pretty sure I conceived on or after August 24, 2009 and my due date is May 17, 2010. I need help!

Sperm can live inside you for days, how many I'm not sure I've heard everything from 3 to 7. That's why its hard to say the actual date people get pregnant. Which is why they start counting from the first day of your last period, which adds to the confusion, but makes sense in a weird "I'm already confused" type of way. Lol

Thank you! I just read so much I get everything confused! And "technically" I shouldn't have been ovulating when I thought I had gotten pregnant.

If they gave you a due date of May 17,  2010 that means you probably conceived between Aug 19 and Aug 25,  according to a conception due date calculator.

Rather than go back and figure out all the other questions,  I think probably this is what you really needed to know?
