Confused....no heartbeat yet

Anyone not see your baby's heartbeat (or a fetal pole) at 6w 4d but then gone on to see a heartbeat a week later (at a little over 7 weeks)?  At my 6w 4d u/s doc saw a gestational sac and yolk sac, and possible the beginning of the fetal pole, but no heartbeat.  Is this okay?  or am I doomed to have a non-viable pregnancy?

Also, my dates are correct.  My ovulation was triggered.

Yes..i go back next week (i'll be 7w 4d) for a follow-up.  Hopefully they'll see something then, otherwise my doc says the pregnancy will not be viable.  Pray for us please!

a lot of doctors wont do an ultrasound that early due to the fact sometimes they could see a heartbeat and sometimes not (the heartbeat would come later on).  Did they schedule you for a follow up ultrasound?

there are tons of women on here with the same story.....the heartbeat can show up anywhere from 6-7 1/2 weeks on average, so I wouldn't worry at all yet. It's pretty common at this age....I would say it's more an exception than a rule when they can see a heartbeat at that GA. When do you go back to check again?
