Constapation after c section...Any advise please!!!

I had my c section on Monday and even before that i was a lil constapated but now its been days and i cant go and scared to even try at this point because of the c section pain. I 've tried eating a ton of fiber bars, cereal, coffee. I've taken Dolalax(sp) and Miralax and still nothing. I'm tempted to do an enema but want to as a last resort. Anyone have any FAST relief ideas, i'm dieing to get this over.

Try prune juice with aloe Vera juice its natural and safe for baby if your breast feeding. It worked for me after my c section.

Hahaha mrssandefur that is TOO funny, it was worse than a c-section, no joke, my poor MOTHER, I would not let my husband come anywhere near the bathroom, and my mom was listening to me cryyy "I THINK I'M DYING!!" That will NOT be happening with this one, I will be much more cautious, 10 days, no joke, that is WAY too long!!!

Don't strain too hard though, I did after my c section and got an incisional hernia that had to be repaired. Good luck

I had my son tuesday and in the hospital they made me go lol. I was in liquids all day until i went. I got out thursday and i havent gone i get the urge of going but scared to push it out. My dr prescribe me "Senna-Docusa" Which is Substitute for "Peri-Colace" it helps your bowl movements soft and its a laxative. I just took it today i hope it works. I suggest drink lot of water and dont it to much fiber though and ofcourse tell your dr to prescribe you something.

Yeah I'm gonna make sure I don't go through that again, I'm going to eat probably entirely too many greens and fibers and take something lol

Oh hun I feel for you! I had a csection last March and it was 6days before I went. And like the others have said its not going to be easy. I was there so long my legs went to sleep and it hurt so bad :( You just gotta keep trying and like they said if it doesnt work call your dr. I have a planned csection on june 29th and I'm going to start taking miralax the day before and chugging it. Lol Good luck hun

And NOT to scare you, and it's very rare, but my sister's friend (who is overweight, I'll add, which might have been the problem) had her intestine sewn into her incision, so if you can't go, absolutely nothing works, call your doctor! Have you tried a suppository?

I got constipated after.my first C-Section so bad and ended up having to go to the hospital it had.formed into a ball the size of.a tennis ball, TMI I know but I'm.just saying if its been since Monday and you still haven't after trying all that just call your Dr and see what they say or go ahead and go into the Dr. I honestly have no other advice cause.I tried everything too and nothing worked for me.

You need to just push, honestly, it WILL come, I was constipated for 10 DAYS! It was the worst pain of my life because I waited so long, not because of the c-section, but because I waited so long, so you might be there for a while, but you have to just keep pushing and make yourself go! If you can't do it then, you can try an enema but that worked for me!
