Contractions freakin hurt.

I'm 39weeks and 4days. I've been contacting ever sense I woke up. I ended up going to l&d because I couldn't tolerate the pain. At the time my average contraction time was only 10-12mins apart and I'm dilated only to a 1cm but a loose 1cm almost a 2 and 70% effaced.  So they sent me home. Now my average contraction time is around 7mins and the pain is kinda getting worse but not much. After contracting all day sense 7am I'm just exhausted and uncomfortable. I hope and pray I start to progress faster! I tried taking a bath. I'm drinking water and relaxing but nothing is making things go faster. Any ideas? I'm miserable :(

Same happened to me but my contractions were 2mins apart when I was in the hospital then they just eased up and eventually stopped the next day :( I was also only 1cm n they kept me in over night to monitor me...ended up home the next day just exhausted from a stupid false alarm.
I'm now going nuts trying to get these contractions going again!!

it sounds to me like you should just go to sleep
but if your contractions get more consistent and stronger remember to breathe slowly and deeply into your belly during the contractions and use visualization as a relaxation technique I like to visualize seeing my baby's face for the first time but anything that will relax you think about it during the contraction

any exercise that is gentle on your body is going to help to oxygenate your uterus and get it to do its work easier stair climbing taking a brisk walk around the block helped progressed me very quickly anything to get your heart rate up

I would go back, or try a different hospital, i was having pains at 32 weeks with my first & they said it was BH, so i tried a different hospital & i was in preterm labor, they were able to stop it till 39 weeks.

I'm a single momma here so sex is out of the question lol I guess I'm gonna be doing laps around the house tonight. Maybe turn a good song on and dry to dance to it if my contractions don't make me fall in pain hahaha thanks for all this advice I totally need it. Ftm haha

If you have an exercise ball bounce on it, or even just rocking in circles. It helps by keeping your pelvis open and takes away majority of the contraction pain. Just make sure you have something or someone close by that you can grab on to just in case!
