Contractions or not?????

Hello ladies. Well today I haven't been feeling very well. I feel silly asking cause I've had 3 children and still dont know when the contractions start. Today I have been feeling nauseated and having to go to the BR all day. Also I have been having this painful back pain that had been coming and going all day and my belly gets rock hard and it feels crampy and hurts. Its been coming and going all day. I can't get comfotable. And I can't stay in one spot for long cause it's uncomfortable. The other day I started "nesting". I couldn't stop cleaning until everything was done. And spot less. Do you think what i am feeling is the start of labor? Are they contractions?

They aren't as strong as early this morning but they are still there. If they get stronger again I will go in and get monitored.

If your still having those feelings go in to get monitored, because it may be the beginning of labor. esp. if your belly gets all hard.

Thank you. I will have him massage. I am only dialated 1 when my DR checked me at 34 weeks. Hopefully I am dialating more. I have always had my labor pains in my back so I know this one is going to be the same.  :(

Im so sorry to hear that you are so uncomfortable. I know how it is as I labored with my youngest son at home for 2 weeks because I wouldnt dialate. As far as the hip pain goes, lots of stretching, have DH massage it, apply mild heat, warm shower. But lots of stretching will help. Your hips do seperate in preperation for labor, they dont dislocate or anything, they just move around a bit to make room for baby, so stretching can be very helpful. Also if the pain is to bad you can take some extra strength tylenol.

Well ladies I woke this morning at 2 am with horrible back pains. They spread all the way to my belly and up my back. I couldn't even lay down. They would come and go until around 6am. I finally got to lay down and get a little rest. My belly kept getting rock hard every time the back pains came. My DH was trying to rub my back and nothing seemed to help. I feel a little better now but I dont know how much longer I can take. I feel awful. I had an u/s on friday and they said she is 6lbs 8oz. I hope my Dr will induce becuase I know she is going to be big. Also my pelvic bone keeps cracking and it hurts. Anything you ladies suggest on that?  Sorry so long.

Well my son was born @ 35w so I could possibly go into early labor. And as far as my plug goes I have been losing it in peices. My baby has been in position for a few weeks and I am dialated 1cm. I was feeling ok today. Not too bad but I still feel "sick". I hope it goes away.

Sounds to me like  they could be braxton hick contractions but maybe you should monitor them and see how regular they are.   I think as you are still a bit away from your due date it is just your body gearing up for the big event.  I know with me the bh contractions became a lot more regular and a bit more painful as the end got nearer.  As for the nesting who knows if that means much (i am only 20 weeks and have just gone through a cleaning frenzy where i wanted everything clean and done at once lol).  When i was about 37 weeks i was feeling alot of pressure too and i asked if it was a sign of early labor and my doc said that it was because the baby had dropped and was engaged, he did an internal and i was dialated 2.5 cm and my cervic was ripe etc buthe also said that it could still be a few weeks, and it was my little girl was not born until full term. Good luck and i hope you find out what is going on soon.  If you are really concerned or confused call your doc or hospital and ask theri advice.  You could also look for other signs like your mucus plug, water breaking/leakage etc.  Let us know how you go.

could be. were your other babies early?? I keep thinking im gonna go early because I have tons of BH everyday and am already dialated to one but she seems to think I will make it full term because my other 2 babies were.
If anything you can always go and get checked out....I always waited at home untill I got contraction that were very strong that I coulnt talk through. Than I knew it was labor.

I forgot to mention that I been having ALOT of pressure down there. I feel like she is about to fall out.
