Since you didnt take the pill as directed pregnancy is certainly a possibility - your chances of conceiving are the same as those of a women who isnt on birth control.

Take another test in a few days using first morning urine.  I recommend a sensitive digital test.  Or, as the other ladies have suggested see your dr for bloodwork.

Was the one that turned pregnant the last one that you took? It sounds like you could very well be pregnant. Definitely go see your doc and have them do a blood test =) Good luck =)

It is possible that you may be pregnant.  There is a chance of pregnancy when you have unprotected sex.  Also birth control pills are not 100% effective.  I know several people who have gotten pregnant on the pill.  You chances are even higher when you miss pills or don't take them at the same time everyday.  Did you just start your pill in April?  If so then you might not have had enough hormones in your body for the pill to be completely effective yet.  When was your positive test?  Was it a more recent test?  I would call your MD and let them know that you are 18 days late.  If you just started the pill in April it could just be because of the new hormones being introduced into your body.  Or it could mean you are pregnant.  You MD may want to order blood work for.  Good luck.
