Could i possibly be pregnant?

I am 20 years old and my fiancé and I decided to try and get pregnant. I came off my birth control august last month. I wasn't too sure if I would ovulate the next month, but we took the chance. My ovulation week was from the 4 of september. We had a lot of intercourse during that week and on other occasions. This month, I haven't gotten my period yet, it was suppose to start the 15th. I'm 6 days late now. I have taken two hpt's of which both said negative. I have lower abdominal cramps, lower back pains, I'm extremely tired and I experience nausea during the day. I am a part time student and my exams start in a few weeks, so I'm not sure if its stress delaying my period or if I could be pregnant. Is it too early to tell now? I'm really curious to know what could cause this, so help on this would be great. Thanks

do you have any symptoms? depending on your birth control you can go straight back to being regular the next month! the fastest way to get back is take lots of folic acid and multi vitamins! hope you are its always exciting to bring a life into this world!

Thanks for the help. :-).  I am getting married in January next year.  I am in Varsity now.. studying for CA.  Money isnt really an issue for us, and my fiancé and i aren't the partying people.  We have both always wanted to start a family at a early age.

The test should be accurate, but try to wait a week and test again, if your period has not shown up by then. When are you getting married? Also, I see that you are in school, which is great, but I am curious as to why you are trying to have a baby now and not just wait until you are done with school and/or married?

Sometimes there is not enough preg hormones in your urine in the early stages of pregnancy so test in a weeks time and consider yourself pregnant until either you get your period or a post peg test

It can take six months to a year to regulate your cycles after birth control. Since this is your first cycle off your hormones are probably trying to work themselves out. I'd give it a little while longer. You may have just ovulated late or you may not have ovulated at all.
