Cramping and Light Bleeding 2nd Trimester?

I have a friend who is on her way to the doctor because she said she has been spotting a little lately. And a few times some cramping. She should be 15 weeks today. Her last appointments everything looked fine and the heartbeat was great. She has been stressing about every little thing lately and fighting with people. (verbal)... this past week or so.

I told her to stop stressing so much over little things and people who run their mouth because she's pregnant. Stress isn't good for her or the baby. Apparently she didn't listen to me because she's on the way to the doctor right now.
I know I'll just have to wait until I hear from her to know what is going on.. But, can stress cause spotting/cramping this far in her pregnancy? At one point when she said cramping and spotting, I thought to myself that it's because the baby is growing. And she is a really tiny person. So She's already got a huge bump. But, then she said she's been stressing.

I hope her baby is okay and there isn't anything wrong with her. I told her if she's okay that they may put her on bed rest until the spotting stops. All she wants to do is just cry.

So I guess I'm just asking anyone willing to answer, what do you think?

Oh no - I'm incredibly sorry to hear that.  What devastating news.

Since the baby was measuring 13 weeks, they will likely need to do a minor surgery (D&C) to remove the fetus.  In cases like this, it is normal to wait another few days (or even a week) and then perform an ultrasound to make sure the initial findings were correct.

I am so sorry.

She said she her baby stopped growing at 13 weeks...  :(
She doesn't want to talk to me right now. So I can't offer my support. :(

What happens now? If the baby is still in her which she said it was... Does the doctor get it out? Or does it just naturally come out?

-When the benefits outweigh the risks, antidepressants/antianxiety medications CAN be taken during pregnancy.  There are many Class C drugs which would be suitable in your friends case.  Usually its best to avoid these during the 1st trimester and your friend is now beyond that.  If your friend suffers from panic attacks, Vistaril can  be taken for these during pregnancy - this is a pregnancy-safe medication that has a similar effect to Xanax.

I hope she's okay too. Still haven't heard anything from her yet. She had heart surgery in February and got pregnant at the end of February. So that alone is a blessing to me. Before all of that she was on many many different types of medication for stress and depression. She's not been able to take them since being pregnant. It's quite scary.

I'll post soon as I know something.

It is unlikely that stress would cause your friend to spot or miscarry.  Extreme anxiety/stress/depression can sometimes cause preterm labor (in the 3rd trimester) or stunt the baby's growth a little but this often results because Mom doesn't take care of herself adequately (doesn't eat or drink enough for example).

Hopefully everything is ok with your friend but spotting in the 2nd trimester is not normal.  There are many options to help your friend if she is having a tough time.  Make sure she gets the help and support that she needs.
