Crazy labor!!
so on April 18 at 3:50 am my water broke.My due date was on April 20 th. I went to the hospital I arrived at 4:50 am. I was not getting any contractions or pain my water just broke. When I got there I got the checked for amniotic fluid it was positive. The doctor wanted to induce me and give me pitocin . I refused and said my body will take its natural course. It did I slept until 10:00 am I started getting mild contractions so I kept asking to be able to walk and move at 11:20 am I got an hour of walking time. So I walked around the hospital it was great. Then I go back and they made me stay in bed at 1:30ish they checked me to see dialation. Mind you all they kept bringing doctors to tell me i needed pitocin and an epidural i refused. When they checked I was 5cm dilated i felt great contractions were like mild cramps and i was able to walk and not stop by 2 pm i was able to walk another hour and i came back contractions started getting harder by 3 pm still breathable and it was great. Then when i got back my nurse was gone so for another 40 minutes i was squatting bouncing rotating my hips for baby to move in place i was in like a 6 in ain from a scale from one to ten. Then the nurse came i was confined to a bed from 3:45-5:30 pm I was getting horrible contractions and i couldn't get up and move through them so it hurt real bad at 5:30 thet checked me I was at 8 cm since I wasn't allowed to walk or move. So I got the epidural from there four hours past my labor literally stopped i did not progress.So i waited another hour and i decided if nothing ill get the pitocin . so an hour past and nothing i got the pitocin then i had problems with the epidural it stopped working we called the anesthesiologist four times he jept putting doses and nothing. When i was in active labor i felt every contraction and believe me normal contractions even tge worse ones are nothing compared to pitocin contractions. They hurt like hell. If I would have known that i would of never got the epidural. So at 4am ish i started pushing btw the contractions that the pitcon gave me made me cry i didn't even noe i was in active labor because the nurse was so stupid and kept saying its nothing. then when she saw me crying she called the doctor i was at a ten and ready to push the anesthesiologist came gave me another dose and i still felt every contraction but the pushing helped and it hurt less. So then I started pushing and after 8 pushes four per contraction nothing happened the nurse was an idiot so then the charge nurse came she was great she stuck her fingers dpwn there and showed me how to push i started pushing and she moved her fingers around i Did 32 pushes before i crowned eight contractions four pushes each time. Now something went wrong i bled way to much and the baby head literally was holding the blood like a plug. then the doctors came four pushes later and he was out i felt his whole body move through the canal it hurt but felt great when he was out. Then they placed him on me right away i freaked out and then i was happy i told
him i loved him during that tine i was bleeding alot gushing blood so another doctor came they took the baby and put a towel as a plug i felt it all. so much for an epidural!! i just yelled so they got me all ready took my baby my mom.wanted to cry every body was pale and i thought i was gunna die. So i went to the o.r i was getting sowed up for four hours and they said my wounds were deep and he hurt inside of me and the outside of me. i was torn. So then i went to recovery really sedated the nurse there was an idiot she even lied about ne to another nurse saying i refused pain.medication when she never asked lazy idiot! so i moved away from her around 11:20 am oh and baby was born at 5:02 am on April 19 he weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces. He is gorgeous. So after recovery or lefts see rwo hourse after surgery they wanted me to use the bathroom to pee i almost literally fainted i lost hearing and five nurses had to take me to my bed. and they gave me morphine and so many drugs thank god my family was there to help me but honestly i felt they wanted me dead. So any way yesterday i was drugged and today i had to get up walk and move around for my baby abd u have ive walked peed and i cant poo but im doing great baby actually gained weight lol so were good o lost alot of blood though and i developed anemia because of this but so far I can walk abd do my thing labor was hard for me because i had complications but it was worth it !!

wow, sounded kind of scary. Congrats on your little baby & for sticking through it :)
no they had put an internal catheter to check contractions and refused to let me up
Well done and congratulations on your new bundle of joy :) may I ask why you said you were confined to the bed and couldn't walk? Surely you can just get up?
