What does it mean when your cervix is closed but soft and long? I'm confused.

Ok thank you. That helped a lot so I'll be on the look out. I'll probably go full term again looks like it anyway. I've been so nauseated and tired and emotional all at once and I'm 37 weeks today :(

Its a little hard to tell. Some people lose their plug all in one go, some lose it in pieces. Honestly, it looks like snot. It can be a yellowish/green or a pinkish/red or brown. It looks snotty and its thick like snot too, that's how you can tell it's not Norma discharge. But some people don't lose it until they're in labor, that's why you probably didn't notice it your first pregnancy. Because its your second you're more likely to dilate sooner but youll probably still go full term again

How do I know what my plug looks like? This is my 2nd pregnancy but I didn't see my plug with the first I had to get induced at 40w + 1d. After I got my cervix checked on Wednesday I was spotting a little afterwards and the next day but not anymore.

It means you haven't dilated yet, but you've started to soften and efface. You might start to lose your plug soon too
