I recently was pregnant and made it to my first US at 8 4/7 weeks. Unfortunatly I was told it was not viable. I had no out of the norm cramping..(or what I thought was normal) and no bleeding up to that point which made the news even more devastating. I had a D&C shortly after. I was told that this is fairly common. I know many have had this loss and I would like to hear about their experiences.  How long were you told to wait until you could start trying again?  How long was it before you got pregnant again?

It's truly a devestating experience.. I had a miscarry about 2 years ago and every time I would even think about trying again it brought back all the pain and sadness.. I'll never have my first baby but we'll I guess that's how God wanted it to be. I'm now 25 weeks with my little girl and am still scared all the time of losing her.. when your ready you will know and just take care of yourself and little one when it happens! I wont ever stop blaming myself thinking I did something wrong:( I was 12 weeks when it happend.

I went through the same thing February 24th. The Fridaybefore iI went to do my 10week ultrasound to check on growth an what not. I clearly seen the baby but it wasn't moving an they couldn't find a heartbeat. I had no pains or bleeding what so ever so I didn't think anything was wrong at all. This was my third pregnancy. We have two little girls. I've never been through anything this tough an devastating before. Its not been 5 weeks with still no bleeding or anything. My doctor told us we could try again as soon as I stopped bleeding from the d&c. I haven't bled since I left the hospital. I wanna try again but I don't want the same thing to happen again. I still get emotional thinking about it especially since a few of my friends are pregnant an where all due around the same time.(919) its hard seeing them post ultrasound pics an gender reveal things on Facebook. This is definitely no walk in the park. Sorry that you had to go through this too. An like you I was told this is very common. Doesn't take the hurt away but I just tell myself something wasn't right to begin with. I have plenty time to try again. I'm just not ready yet.

I has a Mc January 10 the next day after I stopped bleeding took a pregnancy test and came out negative a month later Feb 9 had pregnancy symptoms took a test and came out positive so I don't think there is a right or wrong time to start trying went to the Dr a week after and confirmed I was 4w right now I'm 11w 1d

I had 3 miscarrages.
All of them stoped growing during (8-10)weeks. And they took about 4-6 weeks for the products to come out with out d&c.  My doc asked me to wait 3 periods befor I try again. I get pregnant as soon as I stop using condoms. I dont not have any ftrnety problem an i am 25 y now

I too had a mc on the 3 March I had to have a d&c I I was 8 weeks but baby died at 6 week's :( doctors told me to wait 3 weeks after anyway 1 week went by me and my fiance went to my mums 50th had a bit to drink we had sex that night and kept on ever since till now, I did a pregnancy test the other day it came back positive issit just my hormones from previous pregnancy or am I really pregnant??

My mom went into preterm labor at 5 months, miscarried and then went on to conceive my little brother 6 WEEKS later.

I'm so very sorry for your loss! Most doctors tell you to wait 1-3 cycles before trying again. Physically you'll be ready after your first period after a miscarriage, but emotionally might be different for every person.

I had a miscarriage in April 2006. It took me 8 weeks to get my first period (June). I conceived my youngest daughter in July of 2006- just after my first period following my miscarriage. My pregnancy was textbook and normal. She was born a whopping 8 lbs 8 ounces almost 2 years ago.

Well we started trying for another baby after she was born and it was a lot more difficult. I finally got pregnant after a year. We found out on Halloween 2008 that baby #3 was on the way. Unfortunately I miscarried.

Again, it took 8 weeks to get my first period. So I'm still in my first cycle after my miscarriage and wondering if I've ovulated yet or not. If I did conceive this first cycle I'd be pretty darn excited. Good luck!
