My son was 6 weeks and 5 days when his first tooth appeared. We are breast-feeding and bottle-feeding him. When he was a week old we saw what looked like teeth on his gums, but the doctor said that it was a cyst. Last week I was giving him a bath and noticed that my son had something in his mouth. That turned out to be skin from where his tooth is now. People didn't believe me until I took pictures and posted them on my facebook.
this is a very old post!! To update everyone it took daniel to get to 5 months before he got his teeth! He has two on bottom and loves o chew on things! hE CLAPS HIS HANDS NOW TOO ! all by himself! Im so proud of him!
My Aunt told me that my cousin was born with two teeth already popped through the gums so I am thinking your child may very well be teething!
my daughter started teething at 6 weeks and is now almost 2 months and she has pue white gums but no sogn of any teeth the poor girl is finding it horrible and its heart braking i would defo recommend asthtons and parsons teething powder they're legend and because she's too young to hold teething rings i got some teething soothers like dummy they're brill too!
My kids had their first teeth at 2 months, my nephew had 2 teeth at 1 month, and my niece who just passed away was born with 2 teeth partially in! Some babies are born with them, some take longer.
=) But he'll really enjoy nawing on your clean finger! That helps the gums break and his tooth or teeth break through! Oh and I breastfed both my kids with teeth, and it hurts the first week they have teeth, but you get used to it and over it! It's more of an awkward feeling.
cameron had began teething at 6 weeks old as well...he FINALLY had a tooth on his 5 month birthday and 4 days later a second... he is 17 months old and has 12 and 4 more coming through..the bumps are white and about to pierce...
Could be :) You might end up stopping breastfeeding a bit early, ouch! Ha ha. It's great news! I'm happy for your baby :)
All my kids teethed at 2 1/2 months and had the first tooth by 3 months...Sounds like he might be teething :) That's exciting!!
It's possible. There have been cases where babies are born with teeth - can you imagine? My granddaughter started teething in her 3rd month, but still hasn't popped out a tooth yet and she is 8 months old. Poor thing....I wish it would appear already.
