I would go get checked. I just spent my 8th night in hospital with preterm labour and still not sure when I'm going home, probably when the baby is born or when I can go a while without going into labour. I woke up a week ago feeling off, a little crampy, by lunch time felt like I needed to have diarrhea the intestinal cramps werebso bad I couldn't get off the toilet for 1.5hrs, then I lost my mucus plug and within 20mins mild contractions started. 3hrs later I was in labour with painful contractions 3mins apart.. It happens quick so get seen if you feel things aren't right.
Okay thank you ladies I'm getting ready to leave right now
If they told you to go in I would definitely go in. I had those symptoms at 33w and didn't think anything of it but then my son wasn't moving as much so I went in and sure enough I was in preterm labor.
It's better to rule out early preterm labor rather than catch it too late to prevent it or give baby steroids to help mature his/her lungs.
You're never wasting their time because that's what they're there for. I would say go, I mean atleast they can check on the baby & see what the problem is even if they send you home after.
I called L & D they told me to go in just to be checked out but I don't want to go just to be sent home plus I always get the vibe I'm wasting their time
Have you tried calling the hospital?
I called 3 times and no one has gotten back to me yet :/
Have you called your Dr/midwife? They can advise you best. An office visit can confirm or rule out preterm labor.
I've read that those are signs of preterm labor but I don't want to go in just to be sent home. I have been drinking water, I laid down to see if the pain would ease. But I have had the diarrhea for 2 days now and the back pain and cramps have been constant as well.
I had it around a week ago. Miserable
