Doctor say probable ectopic pregnancy. Need Help!

My LMP was 05/13. I had irregular cycles and my cycles lasted anywhere from 36-40 days. I took home pregnancy test after 40 days ( around June 24th )  of my LMP and it was positive. I scheduled an appointment with gynec on 07/01. She did urine test and it was positive. She did Transvaginal ultrasound and did not find anything in uterus. She ordered for hcg levels which came back at 1690.  She is suspecting of an ectopic pregnancy and told about that to us. She has ordered for hcg and progesterone levels on 07/03. And scheduled another ultrasound on 07/06 ( monday ) to confirm if it is ectopic pregnancy. I am having mild lower abdominal pain with no vaginal bleeding, nausea, vomiting sensation, tiredness.
I am really worried if it's going to turn out to be ectopic pregnancy which will devastate me. Anybody underwent same situation and had turn out normal pregnancy later. Please let me know.

Wait some weeks before you have a d&c. Give your body a chance to do it naturally IF it's a miscarriage. I went threw that with my first. I found out I was preg. I also have irregular priods. I started bleeding like having my period so i went to the er. The Dr said I was 5wks and having a miscarriage there was only a sac and the baby died and desolved in the sac. and he wanted to schedule a d&c for monday. I told him no to the d&c so he sent me for a follow up with a ob/gyn. Went Monday they did another ultrasound and my baby was there with a heart beat I was 6wks 3days. That baby is now 5yrs old! And wouldn't be here if I done what the er Dr wanted. So give your body a chance. Wait until you are 7wks from when you would have ovulated. Cause she's going by your lmp and you know it's not accurate because you have irregular periods. Good luck and stay positive!!

Ask if you can get progesterone suppositories!

My doc called me after she got blood work results. My hcg is at 3300 and progesterone levels are 1.8.  My doc mentioned hcg doubled from 1694 ( 2 days ago ) to 3300, that would make it a less ectopic. However progesterone levels are very low that it is mostly a miscarriage. She expected progesterone levels anywhere near 25 and above. But mine is too low to carry pregnancy to term it seems. She asked me to visit her on Monday for ultrasound and to discuss next step to do D & H :( .. Devastated and disappointed. I dont know why this happened to me :(:(

I have irregular periods and cycles of 36-40 days long as well. When I went in for my first appt. at 9w5d the baby was measuring 7w3d so we thought it had stopped growing and was a missed miscarriage. When we did the transvaginal there was a heartbeat and all was well. I thought I skipped my April period (normal as I'm irregular), but it turns out I ovulated then instead.
You could be earlier than the doctor suspects and in your fourth week, it wouldn't show on an ultrasound. The blood work is where your answer should lie and fingers crossed it's not ectopic!

I had an ultrasound done at 5 weeks but all that was there was the gestational sac. They told me to wait at least another month to see if anything grew inside and if not they'd rule it as a miscarriage, but here I am 30 weeks pregnant. But I haven't had an ectopic pregnancy for me to know what exactly is going on with all the levels and stuff

Just came back from Lab for blood work. Doctor has asked for hcg levels and progesterone. My doc have it as "STAT" to check for ectopic.

When I was 4 weeks I had spotting, freaked out so I rushed to the hospital. Found out the next day that I wasn't how many weeks I thought I was at the time. Specialist couldn't see anything till 6 weeks. They also thought it was an ectopic pregnancy. Now I'm 24 weeks and everything is great! You'll be fine hun.

My LMP was on May 13th. According to that, my doc is saying i am 7 weeks long and she is expecting to see something in Uterus by this. I mentioned i have irregular periods and cycle length is approx around 36-40 days. But not sure if she is considering that factor or not.

Hope your words come true!.. Thanks for support. My Doc said she is not seeing baby in Uterus as it was supposed to be at this point. Not sure what did she mean ?
Initially she mentioned it would be failed pregnancy and later when my hcg levels came out around 1600, she mentioned it would ectopic pregnancy.

You will still get a positive with an ectopic pregnancy.

The babyy is way way to small to see at 4 weekS lucky to even see at 7 weeks. Don't stress hun wait it out, I don't think the Dr should have jumped to that to scare you considering baby is tiny tiny right.now. Hope the best and stay positive!

Usually ectopic pregnancies involve a lot of period like symptoms. And your PTs would most likely come out negative.

It's possible the baby is too small to see, how far along should you be right now?

My doctor thought my was ectopic because I was bleeding so much but I'm 37 weeks now with a strong healthy baby! There's still hope just try to stay calm and not stress:)
