Does anyone else get sick with their pre-natal vitamins?

I have been experiencing bad morning sickness (nausea only) the past few weeks.  I haven't taken my vitamins since the evening of the 23rd and today I feel fine.  Could the vitamins be what was bringing out the nausea?  I don't want to stop taking them, but could I maybe space them out or something?  Anyone else ever have (or had) problems with taking their pre-natals during pregnancy?

Good morning everybody!  I took a couple Flinstone's vitamins this morning and I feel just fine.  Of course my toddler looked at me like I was nuts, but I have me energy and I'm not nauseated in the least.  Thank you to everybody for your feedback!  Hugs to all! :)

My nutritionist told me that I could use 2 Flinstones chewable once a day instead of a normal prenatal vitamin.  It gives you everything you need without being too harsh.

Kiwiberry: I've been really nauseated and overly exhausted, and sometimes I do experience the dizziness, mostly upon waking in the morning or in the middle of the night when I need to use the restroom. Today, I've had none of that.  I'm a little tired, but not totally wiped out like I have been.

ExpectingaRedhead: I think I'll share my toddlers Flinstone's with him, then resume my pre-natals when I hit week 12.  Thank you for that very reasonable and doable suggestion! :)

Some women I know that had problems with pre-natals making them sick just took some of those Kid's Flinstone's Vitamins. You could always try that and then wait until your 2nd trimester to take the pre-natals.

I think I'll just wait until my 2nd trimester to take them then.  I just can't afford to be sick at work or at home.  My diet is pretty healthy, so hopefully that will provide proper nutrients to my growing baby until then.  Thanks all for your advice! :)

In the beginning of my pregnancy I had horrible morning sickness my doctor suggested me not taking my prenatals until around 12 weeks just because they can cause you to feel sick. I stopped taking them and felt immediately better and then when I hit the second trimester I started taking them again and its been smooth sailing ever since! :)

I've been taking them after I eat dinner.  Should I maybe wait until right before bed?  Or should I go back to taking them in the mornings and deal with being nauseated (which automatically makes me tired) at night?  If I do that, then I have no energy for my 2 year-old, and I love my time with him in the evenings.  I miss him all day when I'm at work, and I love how goofy he is right now. Is it possible that this will end by the second trimester?

i had the same thing. What worked for me was to eat and then take it. But it would have to be more then a piece of toast like a full meal.

with my 1st pregnancy i had severe problems with getting sick and the prenatals contributed to that.  i started taking them at night and going STRAIGHT to sleep and it made it alittle better.  i was able to keep them down after trying that.  this pregnancy is soooo different, i only get nausous in the mornings and i havent thrown up at all, i take my prenatals in the morning too and manage to keep them down, but you can try taking them at night and going to bed and hopefully that will help so that you can get the vitamins you need with less problems.
