Does anyone know what this could be from?

Okay so heres a question. Im due in about a week and I had a cervical exam yesterday and after it was done i was kinda sore and it hurt to walk. Well today I have been having this sharp pain pulling downward. Almost like some sharp bone is pushing down into my birth canal. But heres what I have noticed, ill have some of the sharp pain without contractions but whenever I have a contraction the sharp pain hurts so bad that I want to scream! Whats this sharp pain from??

The doctor didnt say but she showed me where his head was and it seemed pretty low to me. He's been head down for a couple weeks now, and i have had this sort of pain before but it seems like today it has been just horrible.

I'd guess that it's the baby's head being pressed against your pubic bone with each contraction, or when you're standing and gravity pulls the baby down.

I had that sharp pain so badly between weeks 37 and 38 that I could hardly walk.

Just remember if your contractions are 6 minutes or less apart, you are probably in labor. It won't be long now, you're almost there! :-)

it could be pressure from the babys head on your pelvic bones..did the doctor say how engaged your baby is?
