Does your BBT always drop before ovulation?
Ok, so I am on my cycle day 16, and i should or will O soon, i think. But according to my BBT, my temps the past week is, 97.96, 97.94, 97.52, 97.92, 98.11, 98.29. Did i O, or is it coming. I am charting all of this on fertility friend, and it hasnt detected O yet. I had the slippery CM late yesterday afternoon, or could of that been the semen from having sex very early that same day? Hubby and I had sex on 1/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10. I just want to make sure i dont miss my window? Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks. I will. And i have so far. Well FF found my coverline, and yes i did O on the cd 14th. So the god thing is that I BD'd on the 5th,6th,8th,10th,1&2th. So I hope this is my month. It is my 3rd month TTC. I hope my chances are higher.
ok. We will see. I hope i really did ovulate though. I just dont want to miss my window again, ya know. Ever since my mc, its been so hard to go on every month and see your period. It is so disappointing. Lets hope this is my month.
I wouldn't worry too much about not having a drop in temps...I usually don't have a dip before O, but I know I ovulate, because I have a clear bi-phasic chart, and I even had a blood test done to confirm in November. Some women see the dip, but not everyone :-)
It differs for everyone...I will send you the link to my charts through pm. One chart is when I got preg w/my DD and my current chart might be pregnant too!!! I even had an implantation dip, cramps, and spotting...so I hope I get my BFP next week!

Looks to me like you ovulated on day 14, and you BD'd the night before, so I think you have a very good chance this month! Remember, sperm can live for up to 5 days inside you!!!
I bet FF will give you your coverline and ovulation day tomorrow (after you get a third high temp charted)!

If you are on cycle day 16 now and you have a relatively normal 28-30 day cycle than I would say you ovulated right on schedule. And the good news is that you did have sex at good times so this could be your month. Again, I don't want to mislead you because I was only offering what to me seemed like a logical explanation. I would continue charting for this month and also continue having sex at least every other day for the next week. It couldn't hurt!!! Good luck to you and baby dust!

I meant to say "I am NOW 14 weeks pregnant" not "I am not 14 weeks pregnant." Silly typos!!!
Is this your first month charting? Unfortunately, BBT does not predict when you will ovulate; it predicts when you HAVE ovulated. It's something you figure out retrospectively not perspectively. So you cannot truly know when you have ovulated until you have AT LEAST one month of charting under your belt; it's preferable to have more than one month. Aside from that, from what I can see just by the numbers you mentioned (this is merely my educated guess not fact) but it looks to me like you may have ALREADY ovulated. As you can see you went from 97.94 to 97.52 in one day which is an approximate 4 tenths of a degree drop. My guess is that you ovulated either the night of the 97.94 reading or shortly thereafter when you got the 97.52 reading. Because immediately after the 97.52 reading your temps go back up approximately 4 tenths of a degree and steadily continue to rise, which is very typical of a normal LUTEAL PHASE (days after ovulation). I cannot be certain for sure that this is fact but I am in medical research and I am merely offering you what I would interpret those results as. Again, you cannot truly know for sure until you have at least one month charting to look at retrospectively. It may help if you try charting and also try using an OPK simultaneously. That is the method I used and I am not 14 weeks pregnant. Hope this helped
I'm usuing FF too. Ovulation is detected once you have a drop followed by 3 high temps in a row. I did not ovulate until cd 22. I would need to see your chart to determine. Before O I had 97ish temps...after O I had 98ish temps. My coverline is in the low 98's...Watery and EW are fertile cm...creamy and dry or not fertile. Have you looked at their list of quest and answers? I was able to lear a lot through all their info on their website.
Hmm.. i wonder if i am one of those women, whos temp just doesnt drop. Do you think i O'd already? I know have creamy CM.
