Donating blood

Can you donate blood while pregnant?

Jenniekai is right...as soon as you have your 6 week post-partum checkup and are cleared to do all of your normal everyday things you can donate again.  If you are breastfeeding you just need to be extra sure to drink extra water so you don't affect your milk supply.  When I worked at a blood bank we had plenty of women donating blood shortly after birth and while nursing.

I normally donate all the time (i have an uncommon bloodtype that is in high demand) but no you can't while preggo.  The bloodcenter won't let you. And it's not a year after....it is only 6 weeks after. Once you get the all clear at your 6week checkup, you can donate. I am pregnant now but also had a son last March and was in donating when he was 7 weeks old.
