Dose a faint line mean I'm pregnant?

i took two clearblue easy digital test and both said not pregnant.  So I opened them just out of curiosity.  There was a faint line on both of them.  I have done this in the past and there never was a faint line before.  What dose this mean?  I haven't missed my period yet so i may had tested to early.  If you ever had this happen please let me know.

well, this happened to me, the exact same thing... i did 3 of them (digital)..all said not pregnant and then I took a normal test..just peeing on a stick and got a faint line I could only see under bright light. I was at the time 3-4 weeks pregnant...eventually the line got darker and darker. I may be wrong but I thought at the time maybe the digital one wasn't sensitive enough to pick up the hcg because it was so faint.

krissyy, the digital tests measure your LH level as well and therefore if you get a NOT PREGNANT result in the window, but take the test apart, you'll see two lines and it looks like a positive. It's not. Not only has this happened to me, but I called the 1-800 number on the box and they explained it to me. Very frustrating, but that's what digis do.

I know it is hard to wait BUT even though tests say you can take them up to 5 days before your missed period, some women's hormones don't elevate that early...maybe you should wait until the first day of your missed period OR a week after...when was af due?

i reread the question--i'm not sure about taking the test apart...maybe you should just wait a day or two and test again.  when is your af due?

my faint positive ended up being a real positive...however, i believe i used first response and it wasn't digital.  so, part of me says there is hope, but part of me is confused about the digital not measuring hcg levels...maybe i will reread the question.  perhaps i misunderstood.  either way, good luck to you girl!

I undrestand about m/c I had one in Jan. but like I said believe it will be; have faith that you will have an heathy pregnancy next time, that's what I do. So do you have digital or line test?

i have have 3 miscarriages so if i am i would need to know ASAP.  Thats why I take them apart.  They only show positive if the line is dark enough too.

I don't understand why would you take them apart. You have to believe that it will happen, but you have to be patient now if AF doesn't show then you may get your BFP but by taking the test apart doesn't help you at all, it may be getting your hopes up. Besides the test doesn't suppose to be taken apart, you suppose to read what's on the outside. I know how it is when you are ready to be preggo but you have to do things the right way.  I hope you get your BFP soon!!!!

You're misunderstanding me. You should look at the link that says SECRET OF THE DIGITAL. It talks about that line you see when you take digital tests apart.

No, those lines are not indicative of a positive pregnancy. That line measures LH, not HCG. You can check out more information on digital tests doing that at www. peeonastick. com (I put spaces so the website wouldn't be deleted, so make sure you don't have spaces when you put it in the ADDRESS bar).
