Due date off by 9 days!!!!

So I had my first ultrasound yesterday and the tech measured the embryo at 6w2d.  Mind you, from my LMP, I would have been 7w4d yesterday.  A difference of 9 days!!  This is absolutely crazy because hubby and I were not even doin the dirty when the u/s dates indicate we would have conceived AND, his sperm would have had to survive in me for 8 DAYS before that estimated ovulation date.  I'm not sure what to think about this.  I was keeping track of cervical position and also kept track of days we bd.

The interesting part is that with my son I also was given 2 due dates that were 9 days apart!!  The first one was based on an u/s at about 9 weeks and the second one was from an ultrasound about a month later.   I just wish I knew which date to go by........on a more positive note, the little peanuts heart rate was 121!!

Thanks for reading my rant :)

Hey nickie, thanks for responding.  I was thinking the exact same thing earlier.....about being slow growing in the beginning and then catching up a few weeks later.  At least that is the only explanation that makes sense to me since I had the same issue with my son.  The 2nd due date they gave me for him, which was by my lmp, not u/s, is the actual day he was born.  I will wait and see what they measure baby at at my next u/s appt when I will be 13 weeks by lmp.  Will be curious to know if I will be sticking with the dd of 12/30 (lmp) or 1/8/11 (u/s)  :)

Hey I have had this problem also and my doctor referred to my babies as being slow growers. This just means that somewhere along the lines the baby hits a growth spurt after aging kind of slow in the beginning. Both of my other children have been given 2 different due dates and they are still not sure about the correct date to my little girl due in Sept/Oct and both of my other children were born large in weight at 2-3.5 weeks early. I know everyone says that early ultrasounds are more correct but for some of us ladies they are a little off. It sounds like your babies are like mine and they will catch up in size later on. Congrats on the pregnancy!
