Due date/ultrasound

Ok just went for my first ultrasound today. The tech couldn't really see anything so she has to perform a transvaginal ultrasound. Now on the pics she gave me it says I'm 12w2d edc of 4/2/2013 but she told me I'm 10w4d edc of 4/14/2013 so which one shoul I go by? Bc before the ultrasound off my calculations I came up with edc of either 4/2/2013 or 4/4/2013 I'm so confused.

before i got my u/s my doctor told me i was 5 wks and my edd was jan 30th  and due to my u/s ( i was 18wks ) my due date was right on point so my doctor is going by my u/s date but like nichole says it depends on what provider decides.

Or they may just keep your date as is based on your LMP, it will depend on what your provider decides.

The actual date on the picture is more than likely the gestation based off of your LMP and the date she told you is actually how many weeks you are by the babys measurments. Its the same thing with me my 1st ultrasound pushed me back 2wks from what i thought based on my LMP, ultrasounds are usually right on or +2wks or -2wks but they will now go by the date given by the ultrasound.

I go to the doctor for another check up on Thursday. I just don't understand why she would tell me anything different then the actual date on the picture. Even when you look at it the baby's head and arms/hands looks a little to developed to only be 10 weeks or even 11 weeks

Just go with wat u fink my sister had da same problem
and her bby arived wen she thought but acordin 2 da docs wS 2weeks early

Ur u/s date is accurate... Due date is only given by tech when pregnancy is biable.. Ur dates can be very off as conception can happen in certain high fertlity window when u r ovulating...

Second i m confused myself... When i had my u/s at 14weeks 3 days from Lmp i was measuring 13weeks n 1 day... Even i could see dates on the right hand conner saying i ws 13weeks. How come ur scsn picture shows ur 12 week n tech says 10 weeks... Tht doesnt make sense... Have u spoken to ur doctor abt it..... ???
