Dull Back Pain & Spotting at 30 + weeks

Hey ladies... I work night shift and when I got home from work I went to bed I just got up a little bit ago and went to the bathroom and there was dark blood in my underwear and a little when I wiped.. Im having dull back pain and I had a lot of discharge at work last night... thick, white & creamy.... Now I called my ob and he said  im only suppose to worry if Im having a period like flow.... the baby hasnt been moving as much... I listened to the heartbeat and it sounds ok... could I have tore something at work ( i lift 50 + pounds)  I just don't understand what he meant by period like flow  wouldnt me waking up finding the blood in my underwear be kind of like a period like flow or does he mean by volume?

I'm so sorry! You have really had a time of it.........If it was me, I would got to l & d. Hell, I would change my OB too. The truth is, lifting heavy things can cause the sac to seperate from the wall of your stomach and cause bleeding. I can't remember what it's called. Someone once told me something similar happend to them just sliding something heavy with their foot. Can't remember who, but I think it was one of the ladies on here.

Let's put it this way, my OB told me I couldn't life my 2 1/2 yr old up anymore due to his weight. He's only 30lbs. Please, get checked out and tell your employer you just can't lift anything that is going to strain you. Tell him it made you bleed. If he can't respect that tell him to take his job and shove it. I know you were wanting to work as long as possible, but at what cost???

hey ladies... see thats what I thought.. I asked my ob to put me on a weight limit and he said there was no need that anything i did before I was pregnant I could do now... I hate him! He is so uncaring... I was in l & d about 3 weeks ago with bright red bleeding but it was only when I wiped and they said it was a combo of me being to dry down there and a kidney infection.  But when I woke up yesterday there was blood actually in my underwear... but since then I have only had a few spots of bright red when I wipe and he told me not to worry about it ( my ob) I checked the babies heartbeat and its ok and shes started to move around this morning more... I just hate how my ob doesnt care about how I feel... The labor & delivery nurses told me to check with my doc before rushing into the hospital ( this was when I was in there 3 weeks ago) so that makes me not even ever want to go back there... I though that was really rude...  and the burse I had told me that I really needed to take child birth classes .. and I wanted my boyfriend to hold my hand when she stuck me with the needle and shes like oh honey if you can't take this pain then you'll never survive the pain of labor.... ick!

If i was you you i would go straight to L&D, it doesnt hurt to ask them to check you over. I dont think you should be lifting all that weight hun

i would go straight to the hospital.  That is not normal.  I understand that you need to work and that you are trying to do your job, but lifting that much at this piont is too risky for you and the child.

Maybe is your placenta? The lifting had caused something. Do you know where is the placenta posed? You must go to the L&D. It`s very early for that kind of bleeding. And I can`t believe that you can lift so much weight. I don`t lift more than 5 pounds.

I would say to go to your labor and delivery. It does probably have something to do with the heavy lifting. It def. is not normal so let us know.

It might have something to do with the amount that you are lifting. You really shouldn't lift that much while pregnant.

I would ask your OB to either check ou out or go to L&D. You are too far along for that to be normal. Im sure everything is probably ok but you should still go get checked out. Good luck!!
