Eating peanuts during pregnancy?

My boyfriend is allergic to peanuts and I read online that you should avoid them if the father of the baby is allergic. Has anyone heard this?

Recent studies have shown if there is a significant allergy either mother or father when eating this product while pregnant may increase chances of the baby developing the allergy. However these studies are peliminary, they have not been able to say how much is too much and such. So if you want to, yes avoiding peanuts since there is already an allergy in the family would reduce chances of allergy for baby.
