Ectopic Pregnancy?

I'm about 4-5 weeks pregnant. I went to the doctors about a uti problem. Needing to urinate even tho I've emptied my bladder. But I had this pain twice. Once it was just on my left side   of lower abdomen and the other time it was all over. I thought it was just my bladder. So I went and spoke to him. He said its most likely uti but small chance it's ectopic. He didn't do anything such as blood pressure, blood tests.. just tested a urine sample.. I've also got achy shoulders, wrists and neck. When I say shoulders it's not the tip, like an ectopic it's around where my brastrap is and my shoulder blades. I got given amoxicillin for 5 days. I don't know weather I should be worried or not? I don't know weather to go a&e, I don't want to waste there time if it's just a uti. And midwife won't see me til I'm 8 weeks. So I have no paperwork, or anything.. :( I'm so lost and confused.

The don't think it is because I'm not having any other symptoms or in extreme pain. He thinks it's my carpel tunnel coming back. I've had it before a couple years ago, the pain was similar I don't know why I didn't think of that before to be honest. He also said the abdominal pains I had are normal aswell. Hopefully little bean will be just fine. I feel a little better about it. Though he did no blood tests, urine tests or scan.. but he was certain I'm fine x

I had an ectopic in November 2012 and left it too late. I would urge anyone to go to the hospital to get checked if there is a chance of ectopic. No doctor should leave you feeling this anxious its not fair on u. Go to the hospital and lay it on thick, say ur shoulder is hurting etc so that they give u a scan. They should be able to see it this early if it is ectopic. BUT just to put your mind at rest a little, the shoulder pain would literally be unbareable, and I also had pains in my left side with this pregnancy which was due to a small cyst on my ovary which is very common in early pregnancy, I am now 34 weeks gone. Pain at the beginning of pregnancy is common and shoulder pain is also a sign of wind. Dont get too worked up but get checked just incase :)
