Epesiotomy/tearing?

Any ladies had either episiotomy or tearing? & how bad did it hurt, or which hurt worse? What was the healing process like?

I had an episiotomy with my son. I didn't feel it or being stitched up because of my epidural. But the healing process was long. I had to do soak baths and creams for about a month and it tore twice which was very painful.

I had both lol tearing and the episiatomy with both my pregnancies and to be honest i was in so much pain i didnt even know if i tore or not i just remember a really bad burning feeling and they told me that was from tearing!! With my oldest i only had 3 stiches so healing was alright about a week of being uncomfortable and with my second ihad 2nd degree tears and the healing time was a lot longer i couldnt even attempt to have sex till 12 weeks after my daughter was born!!
