I had an epidural with my son. I felt better once I got it. Takes some pain away. But after birth sometimes back hurts especially dduring cold weather. I'm planning on getting one again after I give birth in may. During the moment the pain is so awful you dont care.

I havent had it with either of my children and i wont be having it with this one. But my sister had one with her kids and had constant back issues afterwards. Not worth the risk to me even if its slim.

I say go for a natural water birth. At age 19 I had my first all natural and she cane out en caul. At age 21 my second I was five days late and still went all natural she was almost 9lbs. Now at age 23 my daughter is due on Sunday and I will be having another all natural water birth. Its really about mental focus and having a calm environment. And lots of breathe control. Hypno birthing also comes in handy because its control of breathe while in a zen state of mind. Candles or incense and meditative music can help you focus. Most importantly the water really helps progress labor and help ease the pain. Good luck and don't push the normal way that the hospital will suggest all fours, squatting or laying on your side are great positions to help gravity and prevent severe tearing. Have a beautiful safe delivery and enjoy your labor its a beautiful moment to connect with your baby and find your true inner strength.

For my first i had the epidural, they kept putting it in as i was having contractions, and missed 5 times... that was 7 years ago, i still have some pain and he ended up an emerg c section.

My second was a planned c section due to many complications with my pelvic bone because my son got stuck and we found out its tilted.. anyways had a spinal with her which i find was better...

Having a planned c section with this one and going to have another spinal block.

I had the epidural and a spinal block, was amazing considering I was in a lot of pain with contractions constantly without dilating properly, only downside is not being able to move around for hours.
I had no back pain or anything afterwards either xx

My First I Had An Epidural And It Was Great Feeling Nothing At All. With My Second I Had No Epidural And It Was Unbearable Pain,The Most Uncomfortable Feeling In The World. But As Soon As My Son Came Out I Felt No Pain At All He Was Only Five Pounds Though. This Baby I Feel Will Weigh More So Im Def Doing The Epidural Because You Never Know If You Could Rip Down There.
