Everyone seems to be dealing with this and I am so confused!

Hello All...thank you for taking the time to read this.

I am 25 years old. I was on BC (ortho tri cyclen and yasim) since I was 17. I got off the pill back in Oct. I fell pregnant this past January but unfortunately lost the baby at 8 weeks in Feb. When we found out, 2 tests were positive and 2 negative. We went to the doc and their test was negative and then a week later the blood came out positive...it must have been a sign that the pregnancy was ill anyway at the time.

I got my period when I was 11. I have always been regular. I had longer periods, so I went on the pill (that and I became sexually active). I have since always had periods every 29-30 days, 31 at the latest. I had my last period on June 4th. It is now July 15 and Im 11 days late. I have done about 5 HPT all of which have come out negative. I went to the doc and they did a urine and blood, but both came back negative. I am now very confused. Like everyone else who has asked this, I have ALL the symptoms. I have sore breasts. I am extremely fatigued. I have headaches, dizziness and nausea.

If anyone wants to chime in and let me know what you all think is the issue, I would love to hear it. I am an athletic girl, I am 25 and 5'9'' and weigh 135. I have weighed this since my freshman year in college and have not changed. I am not stressed but not getting my period and no positive on a pregnancy test has me a little stress. I have a doc apt on Thursday and would like to know what anyone thinks about this and what I should have the doc do. I am thinking I should request an ultra sound- even if there is no baby, then I can have them check out my ovaries.

Thanks for your help in advance!

They can also do a pelvic and feel your uterus to see if it softened, which would indicate pregnancy as well.  Good luck.

When you have a miscarriage or give birth, your cycles can be thrown off. It could be that your body is trying to regulate itself. It can take some women up to a year to become regular again.

Wow... No offense but your THIN for being 5'9. My lowest weight at 5'8 was 140-145lbs and I was a size 9. (I'm sure you look great!)

It may be that you just show up positive on tests late. So give it a few more days then go to your doctors for a blood test.

Request a QUANTATIVE test, not a QUALATIVE test. the first kind measures EXACTLY how much HCG is in your system. The second is about as useful as a Pee test. :)

Any number over 5 for a Quantative test is a positive.

GOOD LUCK

(I didn't test positive til 3 days after my period was due)

I wish you good luck at the doc!  Unfortunately, sometimes cycles are just not regular.  It could be that you're just having a longer cycle than normal.  And your period could be this late due to not ovulating this cycle.  Not only that, but stress can really throw off a cycle, so try to relax.  Good luck!
