Exercise

Is it okay to start doing some light exercise at 27 weeks? I do a lot of walking now but I'm just kinda iffy about it cause I don't want to put my baby at harm. What would be a great and safe workout for me and the baby?

Yes. Working out is fine. Don't start anything to hard though if U weren't doing it prepregnacy. My girlfriend is a serious runner-she ran a 5k marathon at 25 wks. I always worked out before this pregnancy (3rd baby), however I had such severe morning sickness 24/7, I stopped completely until my 2nd trimester. I used to run, do kettle bell, etc but I slowed it down bcuz I took 16 wks off. Now I walk (2-3 miles), each am I do a home prenatal workout  DVD & yoga. It's actually very important to work out while prego-it will keep Ur energy up, you'll have less aches & pains, sleep better, makes delivery faster, keeps unwanted weight off & you'll bounce back to Ur prepregnacy weight much faster. My workout DVD has modifications if U can't do the more advanced moves-don't over do it. But keep Ur body moving you'll be so glad u did. Start every 2 days for a wk, then every other day is great. I workout everyday bcuz it's the only way I get energy to keep up w my other 2 kids.

The app I use is "prenatal free" and there are also exercises on Pinterest posted by mothers!

I use a birthing ball, and a pregnancy workout app. I'm 28 weeks and just started the app today. I use to work out all the time so I must admit it knocked the wind out of me. It was very safe workouts but definitely work out at your own speed and make sure to take your time and take breaks when needed!
