FTM-Petite

I am very small. 5'0" to be exact and my uterus is already moving my ribs and all. It is so painful it's hard to move or even change positions. I just turned 26 weeks today and I'm just in so much pain. I don't have a doc appt until the 19th. Do you think she will place me on Bed rest?

I'm petite too, 5'2", my last 2 babies were 7 & 8 lbs. since 16 wks w baby 3, I've been in pain & have not slept. With all of my babies I get severe hip pain, severe round ligament pain, sciatica pain amongst many other pains & discomforts. This pregnancy my belly button has herniated (extremely painful). I've never spoke w any women who has had a baby that said pregnancy is easy. Ur dr will not put U on bed rest unless Ur health or Ur baby are at risk of other serious complications. What will really help w aches & pains is working out. I walk, do a home prenatal DVD & yoga-it's the only thing that helps w the pain.

I'm 5'2" and delivered a 9 lb baby four years ago med-free without needing a single stitch. Worked full time at an incredibly physically demanding job up until 38 weeks when my blood pressure got kinda wonky and my midwives told me I should put my feet up a little more often.
No, I doubt you'll be put on bed rest. Not without a number of significant risk factors cropping up first, none of which you mentioned in your post.
Nobody ever said growing a person was easy.

Nope. That's totally normal. Set a cool Glass of water on your stomach and the baby will move temporarily.

I don't think she will unless there's harm to the baby or you, unfortunately pain and discomfort is normal with pregnancy. My little guy is always in my ribs and I dread rolling over and getting out of bed or even using the bathroom because of pain.
