Faint positives...

Okay, here is a little back story: I stopped taking my birth control in April (today is Sept. 4th) I had a normal period April, May, and June (June 22 was my last period).. then they just stopped. I had VERY light spotting in the beginning of July, too early for it to be another period and only lasting 2 days at most. I just figured it was all because I stopped my BC. I haven't had a full on period in about 75 days (counting from June 22). I've taken test after test after test, all flat out negative. Well my boyfriend has been out of town so I haven't had to really worry about testing at all since he's been gone. He came back in town just for the weekend about 2 weeks ago, we had sex Friday Aug. 21 and Sat Aug. 22. Honestly, getting pregnant was far from my mind after all of this. Worried anyway since I haven't had a period in so long I made an appointment to see my doctor. Went to the Doctor this past Wednesday, expecting for sure to have a negative test, she said I had a neg. pregnancy test (duh I thought).. but there may have been a FAINT positive (WHAT?!) and to come back in a week (this Tuesday). Well, being the testaholic I am I went out and got a few tests to try to test until Tuesday, I got a faint PINK positive almost right away (within seconds of starting the test) the first test I took. So, I went to the store to get pre-natal vitamins and of course.. MORE tests. I have taken two more since and both have come back a BIG FAT negative.. being curious I took the tests apart and one of them had a pink line.. but not where the window is, like at the part of the strip that's hidden (the other tests didn't have this), does anyone know what that could be? Anyway, the only symptoms I've had are very very full, hard almost breasts, not sore though, itchy sometimes, but not sore, Twitching below my stomach area, and EXTREME fatigue like to the point I can't even make it through the day without a nap.. and not just a two hour nap.. a full on sleep. I keep reading stuff that says, a line is a line so you must be pregnant etc. but then I got negative ones too! Can you have a miscarriage without bleeding? I just don't know what to think.... also, if I got to the doctor on Tuesday and she says it's negative and tries to give me something to start my period, I don't want to take anything until I know FOR SURE... when is the LATEST I should know for sure?? Especially if I haven't been having periods.. I have no idea when to expect it so please don't say after your period is due, because I don't know! :) Thank you for your help in advance!

My period was 75 days ago, but that's not when I think I conceived. Something else was wrong during that time. That's why I went to the doctor and I was sooo shocked when the doctor came back saying she saw a faint positive. I completely expected her to see nothing but a lonely control line. If I did conceive it would have been Aug 21-22, about 2 weeks ago, but I have no idea when I ovulated or when to test again because I haven't been having periods.. that's the problem. I figure after reading a lot about faint positives I had to of been AT LEAST 8dpo on Wednesday when I went to the doctor. But that still leaves a tiny window of testing from this Tuesday-everyday counts in this process I guess! If the test on Tuesday comes back Neg. or faint again, I'm going to ask for a blood test. I'm just being impatient and want to know now I guess...

I agree a blood test is the best bet.dont bother to take the tests apart you will always see a faint line.besides which this means nothing.have you tried a digital test.a period that was 75 days ago,would give you an accurate result by now.considering the tests are faint.its highly unlikely however you maybe early.so ask for a blood test.hope you get answer you want.and yes you can have mc without bleeding as pp said.missed miscarriage,baby can stop growing but no bleeding can happen for few weeks later.

The only way to know for sure is to get your hcg level tested ..but you can have a miscarriage without bleeding right away(missed miscarriage).  Sorry I couldn't help more. Good luck to you!!
