Family history of unsuccessful pregnancies...?

I didn't know what section to post this in, so I put it in other.

My mother had an ectopic pregnancy, two miscarriages and then a premature stillborn, all before she finally had me.

I've just miscarried at 6 weeks.
I'm worried about going through what my mum did, I'm not sure I could cope with all the heartache. I'm wondering if unsuccessful pregnancies are more likely if your mother or other relatives have had problems as well?

I should mention that it wasvworth every moment of stress and heartache and I plan on going through it all again at some point (my baby is only 4 weeks old now).

It depends upon the reason for it. My mother had unexplained infertility and it took her 10 years and more m/c than she could count to finally have me. It took me one m/c and 34 months of ttc along with fertility treatment to have my little girl. I have PCOS. Fertility issues do run in our family. Nearly all the women on my moms side had trouble ttc one cousin even had to adopt to have a child.

I think not so much that what will happen to them happened to you but I know that it is hereditary like problems with you heart and other health stuff. So if your mom had something wrong with her then you might have that same thing. What does the doc say?

My grandma had 7 m/c and 2 successful, my mom had 2 successful, and I have had 3 successful, 2 m/c and this one seems to be going ok.  So I am not sure how much it has to do with relatives, but thought I would share our history.
