Feeling dizzy when getting up right away?

Hey guys I'm 18 weeks pregnant and when I tend to get up when I'm laying down I get dizzy to the point where I need to hold something so I don't fall.  Then that dizziness goes away in 5 sec.  Does anyone else have this symptom.  I've been having it alot lately.  When I get up after laying I have to sit up for a while and then actually get on my feet or else I feel dizzy for Atleast 5 to 10 seconds.

I have low blood pressure and I get this so badly, it's really debilitating. I'll go into town and have to squat down on shop floors and in queues to stop me fainting, maybe it's the same cause with you? I haven't found anything that makes it better yet, other than staying cool

That is a sign of low blood pressure or dehydration normally I get it all the time even before I got pregnant cause my bp has always been really low. The best thing is getting up slow like you said you do. Make sure you are eating and drinking enough.

I had That on Valentine's day All day So by The end of The night I went to e.r and They gave me Some fluids...  I was Also throwing up alot At The time So I let them know That I had been vomiting and very dizzy and felt like I'd pass out. So They kept me over night on monitors,  iv fluids and nausea meds and didn't release me until I ate a plate of breakfast The next morning and was able to keep It down. They Also said I was having Some contractions But I didn't really feel them. I was basically really dehydrated. The fluids and nausea meds really helped out. Well last night I again went to hospital Because For 2 days I was vomiting every time I ate. Couldn't eat anymore cause I had No appetite after a while and was beginning to again feel dizzy and have a little achy headache That was dull But wouldn't go away. I again got Some nausea meds and iv fluids and They did Some blood work. Found out I am extremely anemic So now needing to take iron pills. Even If It's not That bad I suggest going to The hospital Because The iv fluids alone help out tremendously. But feeling dizzy Or like You will faint can mean a few different things and It's best to pinpoint The problem and treat It before It Gets worst. I really hate spending hours At The hospital But I am glad I decided to deal with It and Just go Because If I didn't I would not have known about being anemic and When my baby comes in 6 weeks Or less during my labor there would be many problems and I'd end up needing blood transfusions and probably would have been to weak to push her out causing a emergency c section Or something.  So It's always better to be on The safe side Then Just trying to Just deal with It
