Fetal Pole at 6w3d

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I had an ultrasound at 5w1d that showed only a gestational sac. Then at 6w again we saw only a gestational sac. At 6w3d we saw a gestational sac (17mm) and a yolk sac (3mm) but no fetal pole or heartbeat.  Does this imply I will miscarry?  Is there any hope.  I had given up until I saw the yolk sac.  Is the fact that the pregnancy is at least progressing a good sign?

I wouldn't give up hope yet. The fact that a Yolk Sac is now there is a great sign. Both times when I M/C there was only a Gestation Sac, nothing else. Your beta numbers sound great too. At 6 Weeks we saw and heard our babies heartbeat and I think my HCG numbers were 55,000. But maybe you aren't as far along as you think. It's hard to tell by an U/S when you're so early. So I would just take it day by day and think positive...if a Yolk Sac is there, the fetal pole and baby should only be days away. Its amazing how much of a difference a day can make! When is your next U/S? I bet you will see your baby then! Good Luck Sweetie!

sorry, that was unclear. it was 16,000 as of 6w2d but I hadn't had it tested in a while before that so hard to ensure it is doubling properly.

beta hcg was around 16,000. it had been a while since I last had it tested but it has definitely been increasing.
