Yea, nothing to worry about. Those measurements can be off if you have just eaten or not eaten, how much you have had to drink and baby's position and the amount of fluid surrounding the baby. I was measuring about 2-3 weeks behind this entire pregnancy, and finally last week I measured right on time. My midwife said I have a small baby in there and she isn't too concerned at this point. With first son, I measured 2-3 weeks ahead the entire pregnancy, but he was a big boy. It all depends!

I agree with everyone else. Fundal height is hardly ever spot on. I think they just continue to measure to make sure that your belly is growing with every visit. I suppose it can be safe to assume that if your uterus is growing, that baby is too. I know that they said I was measuring on target, but when she told me the number, it was 3 weeks behind. Then the next two appts it measureda week ahead, then two weeks behind. My SIL measured 4 weeks ahead at all of her appt's and they were checking her for twins the entire time...no twins.

My midwife told me I would have a 5 pounder. I delivered Lexi at 38 weeks and she was 7 pounds even.

I agree with Clysta. I always measured 2 weeks ahead, i think only 1 time i measured right on track. There are alot of factors like position and fluid...when i was 36 weeks my midwife told me my baby was about 7lbs...i delivered at 37 weeks and he was 7lbs 9oz. Good luck with your pregnancy! Enjoy every minute, it goes by so quickly...i miss my baby bump!

There are a lot of that doctors that don't actually use it anymore. I guess it just depends on the practice. Have fun at your next ultrasound! I always loved to see my baby, especially later in the pregnancy. :)

Oh my god. So why use that method if it can be so off.

I wouldn't be worried. I measured up to date at all my previous appointments, and then when I went to my 33 week appointment appointment I was measured to be 27 weeks. After that point they never showed accurately. It's can be widely inaccurate and can be off from dozens of things. Baby's position, fluid amount, and even measuring differently from week to week.
