The other lady was right about checking with your pharmacist. They spend years learning about drugs. I honestly wouldn't take it sweety. Tylenol is really your safest bet. I have a little girl that's a 18mths old and all during my first trimester I had headaches from hell. They were more like migranes! But they will go away. Its just your hormones that are causing them. At least that's what my OBGYN told me. Hope I could help.
The pharmacist is the one that scared me about taking it. He was explaining to me how it was a class C drug...
Actually I do not always go with what a doctor says. In fact, I always call a pharmacist and speak with them about medication (whether prescription or OTC). Doctors only have so many hours in school in pharmaceuticals and don't even always know the class of the drug. Most medications are Class C, which means they do not know if it'll affect an unborn baby and should be taken ONLY if the benefits outweigh the risks.
I'm so very sorry you're having headaches. Call your local pharmacist and ask if that particular medication is safe during pregnancy.
Always go with what your doctor tells you. Your friend is not a doc and therefore is not authorized to give you advice over your doctors.
