Flu Shot?

I was wondering if any of you mommies have gotten or are planning on getting one my dr is insisting I get one because he says if I get the flu it's 3times worse for pregnant women and that they will have to take the baby out no matter how many weeks I am already...any advice?

The pregnancy flu shot is made up of the dead virus so there is no way to even get it. It protects you and you even pass it to the baby after is it born

But some ppl don't get sick from the vaccine so if it doesn't affect you the way it does to me I'd take it. But if u have a strong effect by it then u take it?

I'm not going to, I always get sick and still get the flu last year I got sick right after the flu vaccine. And it only gives u certain virus so only protects you from certain virus-_- if you get a different virus you can still get sick.

I'll be getting mine this week - working in healthcare with a preschool-age child I am at very high risk for contracting flu and want to do everything I can to protect myself.

I was told the flu shot they give pregnant women doesn't have the live virus in it so you won't get sick. Could be wrong, but you can always ask before getting the shot.

I had one yesterday. And I would get it just to be on the safe side. If you still get the flu then you would have gotten it anyways, but your chances of getting it will be lower. Better safe than sorry.
