For OPK Users, how long after the first faint line shows does it take for it to darken to a positive???

Ok, so I took an OPK today and usually it shows NO test line only a control line. I'm 13CD and sure enough there's a faint line so I'm going to look and see if it gets darker over the next day or two so I can time my ovulation exactly. I'm really happy just to get ANY line. I've taken like 10 OPK's before with NO second line..... hmmmm...


For those of you that use OPK's how long after the first faint line shows up does it darken up?

Should I take another tonight?

AHHHHH... this is driving me crazy. see, I took  a test tonight after holding my urine for about 8 hrs. it had been 10 hrs since my first test. NO SECOND LINE AT ALL.

i'm wondering if I ovulated early and the first test was just the tail end of the hormones leaving my body......... great. '

My dh was the same way I did the test strips and he knew, but didn't want to KNOW. Men are just funny sometimes. I think I remember reading on the box that you should test every day at the same time.

With all that you are doing I doubt it will be long before you get a BFP.

Have fun... Just make sure you hold going to the loo for as long as possible,ideally 3-4 hours...good luck.

I do have preseed and have been taking Mucinex too so we are stacking the deck!

my kit came with 20 tests and the first one I took around 11am.  So I'll take another tonight around 9 or 10.

I used the Answer OPK with 20 strips and it took about 3 days to get a dark line and then 2 days to dissapear again.

I would start to get busy as Lookup put it, the day I got the first faint line and we didn't give it a rest until the day after the test came up negative.

Worked for me in the second month of using one. Good luck!

I bought a 7 days pack OPK and looked at the ovulation calender to see what it said and went from  there I took one test every day and on the day that the ovulation calender told me I finally got a real dark line I was so excited I got busy......

To perfectly time ovulation ideally you should be doing 2 a day.I did them about 2pm and then another in the everning.every test we do will have a faint line,all through the cycle.unfortunately there is no given time for how long it will take to darken,you will just have to keep doing them.

it took me about 3 days i think to get the line darker then the control.
