For thos of you who have been pregnant or are later on in your pregnancy, When did you feel the baby drop?

I'm 36w, and I think the baby is still up high...I'm just curious when most people experience the drop or lightening?

When you sit down and you feel like your sitting on the head then it's dropped and you're almost there.

None of mine have ever dropped.  Seriously, not a one of them.  So, for most I guess they do, but for all 5 of mine so far, none of them have ever dropped.  BUT, all of mine have been born vaginally.

My daughter never dropped.  My OBGYN said he was 99% sure I would need a c-section because my daughter was sitting so high.  He ended up inducing me (because I wanted to at least try it naturally first) at 39 weeks exactly due to mild preeclampsia.  I got to 10cm and she was still sitting too high so I had to try and push her down.  After 2 hours of pushing at every contraction, she dropped and I was able to deliver her naturally - all 8lbs 9ozs of her!  I'm only 5'2" so I think she was just big for me which is why she didn't drop and why he wasn't sure I would be able to even deliver her on my own.

I'm 37 weeks and 1 day and I think my little guy is dropping a little each week.  I went to Sunday church service and a few ladies said they could tell that hes lower.  ( That I have dropped.)  I go to see my midwife Tuesday so I'm praying, " fingers crossed", the will be low and I will be dilated further.  I have been 1cm for 2 weeks.   :-(    Its really hard to tell though.  I have noticed that hes kicking lower than before.  And I have been having to pee more because he is pressing on my bladder.  Well... Good night... Anita

i just had jaedyn 5 weeks ago and he did not drop at all.  at 38 weeks they had to take him via emer c-section cause of pre clampsia but he did not drop.  i mean he lowered out of my ribs after week 36 but he was still so high, nothing like the dropping/lightening that is talked about in the baby books etc.

I'm way different from everyone else here. Wow! I dropped with my first DD at about 34-35wks.
With this pregnancy I dropped at 22wks or at least it felt like it, but she moved back up.

mine did not drop until about 2 hrs before he was born.  In fact, I was sent home from the hospital because he was so high.  I showed back up two hours later ready to deliver.  (I was 39w 5d)

I don't think I ever dropped!  LOL!  Or at least if I did, it wasn't noticeable.  :)

I really don't remember actually dropping, I think it happened very gradually for me. Based on pictures I would say around 36 weeks? That is a total guess though. I gave birth a little before 39 weeks.
