GB Test.UHGGG!

I have a Glucose Screening next Tuesday. Is it normal that I get EXtREMELy sleepy afterwards? I asked my grandma to drive me for that reason. And arranged for a sitter for a few hours after I get out so I can come home and take a nap. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

I have never had GD with any of my pregnancies. I was considering refusing the test for that reason. But I gave it more thought and remembered every pregnancy is different. I just don't know if it's just something that happens to me or if it happens to anyone else. I will definitly talk to him when I go.

Yeah, ask your Dr. I think it's good that you have someone to take you :) let us know how you go.

My glucose test made me sick on my last pregnancy. This is because my body broke the sugar down too fast, but everything was fine in the end. Ask your doctor before you have the screening to see what may cause the sleepiness.

It could be coming down from that sugar rush that causes it.   I know that with my last one I was ready to fall asleep while waiting to have my blood drawn!

I was completely fine with both my tests. Not sure what would cause your sleepiness.
