Hi There.....I had a 1 hour test in my 4th week of pregnancy due to my mother having gestational diabetes with all 3 of us kids and both grandmothers having adult onset diabetes...I failed the 1 hour miserably.....220.  I went back a few days later for the 3 hour and that came back fine.....I think that alot of the problem is that the 1 hour is not fasting (at least mine wasn't) so if you eat anything high in carbs even a few hours before, your sugar may just be high due to that.....the 3 hour is fasting.  If you do 'fail' the 3 hour, you'll really just have to adjust your diet...which nowadays isn't that difficult with all of the low carb/sugar free stuff on the market ......as long as you follow the diabetic diet for the next several months, your baby should be fine.......I know that mom LIVED on root beer floats when she was preggo w/ my youngest brother......Diet Root Beer and Sugar Free Ice Cream!  He was completely healthy.......Best of luck to you...let us know how you make out.

Hi I was borderline diabetic when I got prego and honestly I changed my whole diet.  I was healthier during my pregnancy than I normally am.  I cut sugars and carbs out.  I was also anemic. The thing with pregnancy is the baby gets all the vitamins and iron they need its you who ends up with nothing.  They take everything out of you so you need the iron pills for yourself.  your baby wil be fine take care.
