Glucose Test

Tomorrow I'm supposed to take my 1 hour glucose test and it's my first time,  it's early in the morning and I'm not really sure what is appropriate for me to eat for breakfast before I go in. I have to eat because I'm super hungry when I wake up and I get sick if I don't eat. Can anyone help with ideas?

Your doctor should have given you instructions. If you did not get any instructions, then you are fine to eat. They would tell you if you had to fast.

I get sick to i was worried but Mine was at 8 in the morning. I woke up at 530 and had a bowl of cereal and toast with water. I went back to bed until 745 and only drank water until after my test. And I passed!!!

Avoid carbs and sugar. Carbs like bread pasta cereal will stay in your system longer. Im diabetic and I eat candy and have lower sugars then eating bread. I was under the impression there was a few hour fast atleast at my obs office there is.

I was told I could eat before I go in but they didn't exactly give me specifics of what's ok. I only know it shouldn't have sugar.

I never changed my eating habits days before it anything. They always told me to eat something high in protein like eggs. I've never failed a test.

I ate 3 boiled egg whites and a piece of toast. Cut out sugar 2 days before the test and passed with flying colors.

I had to go in fasting for my 1 hour and three hour tests.

Nothing sugary, as it can mess up your test. Try something healthy like eggs and toast or a breakfast sandwich :)
