Yeah I was about to say isn't it group b strep lol I had it in my pregnancy with my son, it's an infection that grows in the vagina and could be passed on to your baby without antibiotics at birth :)

Im a 39 year old male raised in poverty. Its hard to believe but once upon a time. The poor wasn't always helped with care. I was getting strep g from bad dental care and I never knew it until a host of problems started over a decade ago.
Reactive Arthritis from the bacteria destroyed my ankles knees hips back shoulder. It also caused me to have gallstones and gall sludge.
Teeth collect plaque and when the body has a way to get that plaque in bloodstream you get Cholesterol (which is mainly plaque)
I eventually had 100% blockage in my RCA and came down with diabetes.
Heart was stented, my diabetes and cholesterol in goal. Gallstones gone and the ticker feels great. The arthritis is here for good because so many years I was paying cash for a Dr to tell me why instead of how.

It's a bacteria that naturally grows in the body of some pregnant women.  There is nothing you can do about it and it doesn't affect the women, but it could affect the baby during birth.  Normally doctors will test you for this at 36 weeks pregnant and if you are positive you get a dose of antibiotics during labor so it doesn't spread to the baby.  I had it the only I issue I had was the antibiotics made me sick to my stomach during labor (on an empty stomach).  My son was born perfectly healthy =)
