HCG Levels

I have seen questions about slow rising hcg levels but what about quick rising hcg levels?  I had my levels drawn on Friday night at about 7 PM and the level came back at 35.5 (12 dpo) then on Monday morning around 11 AM it was 233.3.  When I talked to the doctor they said that they expected it to be about 110 but am curious if anyone else has had levels jump like that.   I know the numbers don't matter as much as the increase/ lack of increase since I have had miscarriages/ ectopic pregnancies before.

Maybe there is more than one baby in there!!  I have heard that with multiples the numbers are usually higher than normal...

i took a home preg. test and the positive line was very faint so the doc had me get my hcg levels checked and they are at 50.0 i that was on dec.07 and i go back on dec.09 im very worried because i had a miscarriage on sept.26 and d&c on sept.27 im just hoping for the best and trying not to get to excited just in case

First off, HCG levels can be very very misleading.

Your numbers did rise a little faster than "normal" and that could be very normal for "you" during this pregnancy or something that is happening very early on and they may slow down.  Is your doctor going to follow up with more blood work?

Those #'s sound GREAT to me!!! I had #'s that tripled at one point early in this pregnancy, and then only just barely doubled at the next draw. I am currently 23 weeks 2 days!! I think we tend to put too much into the actual #'s, like you said it more just matters that they are going up like they should... my Dr. always said he was happy with at least a 60% increase every 48-72 hours.
