I just read something like that as well. I've also seen some tables showing my numbers are within normal range for as many weeks as I think I am. We only tried the 2 days, and haven't since then, so it's pretty definite when I conceived, within at least a couple days, given how long sperm is supposed to last. Thank you!
Let me know how your u/s goes! angela at bryconrealty dot com
I read and was told by my doctor as long as hcg levels increase by 66% every 48 hours, its normal. I don't think your hcg levels seem low for 6 weeks.
Im going through the same thing as you, my levels started, i guess doubling and then had another blood test after my u/s, as they found that the measurements aren't adding up to the no of wks pregnant (but found a heartbeat)! THe results from blood test found although my levels had increased, they hadn't quite double, now Im waiting till tuesday for another u/s to see what is happening. Dont want to scare you, and im trying to remain positive, but it usually ends up in miscarriage. But i also read that people go on to have healthy babies too. So chin up and i prayer that things go well with you and us
HCG should double every 24-72 hours the fact that yours is doing that is a very good sign!
I have been told by my dr's office that they want progesterone over 10. If your HCG is going up - focus on that.
Thank you so much for your quick response and understanding.
I forgot to add that over the weekend, my spotting went from brown and light to bright red with some clots. I was almost positive I was miscarrying then, and resigned myself to it. But on Monday when the nurse said my hcg had gone up and I was still pregnant, I think I was more excited than when I got the + HPT. The spotting has really lessened with the prometrium, but today there was some slight brown spotting. So I really don't know what to think.
I have read about some pregnancies going full term even with slow starts on the hcg. So here's hoping.
Yes, it helps to keep busy. My 14 month old daughter is great at fulfilling that need. I also have a very supportive husband who doesn't want me worrying too much.
I have recently miscarried after spotting for about 3 weeks. When they checked my hcg levels they were 1500 (Tuesday) then dropped to 900 (Friday) so my situation is a little different.
I do however understand what the waiting is like. I was told on Tuesday 50/50 chance. I wasn't sure if I sould try to stay excited or prepare myself. Then after being sent to ER on Friday by my GP they wouldn't confirm miscarriage and I had to wait until Monday for another blood test. I was a mess. The waiting was horrible. I hope you stay positive and that your hcg decides it is time to start doubling and that is was just a slow start.
Take care and try to stay busy. I always wanted to be around people while waiting to keep me occupied.
