HELP...implantation bleeding or period??

So I am about 9 weeks pregnant with my second child, just had my first prenatal checkup and my doctor said that my uterus is larger then it should be for only being this far along. My last period was on november 2, 2009, and it lasted for the normal 5 days with a bit of light spotting for 2 days after. My question is could my last "period" have been implantation bleeding or my actual period? I need to know cuz as terrible as it sounds it would determine if this baby is my boyfriends or the man before. I have read that implantation bleeding can occur around the normal time of your period but that it is usually only light spotting or a darker brownish discharge, and when I bled it was just like it always is, fairly heavy at first then slower towards the end. My menstual cycle is very regular, so I am pretty sure that it was my period, I just need some other imput on the matter!! PLEASE anything that could put me at ease would be greatly appreciated!!

The town I live in has only 2 diagnostic imaging places, and the dr. offices here do not have thier own ultrasound machines. You have to book through one of the places, and the earliest I can get in is feb.18!! I pray that all this fear is for nothing, and that I truely am only 9 weeks along. Thanks to everyone for all the reassurance!!

no not at all they are different from pregnancy to each woman. I had high levels like I was having triplets every time and a girl I knew hers were way lower but she was having 4! Doesn't your dr have an us in his office?? Most good ones do! I would change dr for that! Of course I am high risk but I started out with one dr this pregnancy and had complications and they had no us machine and wanted me to wait. I did then the day before my scan they cancelled and wanted to make it for a month out when I was bleeding! Not good all ob's should have a scan and tech in the offoce all the time!

Irsh 741 is right though that implantaion bleeding is light pick to brown and very light only for one day!

Hey they can hear the bbay on dopplar at 13 weeks along! I have been pregnant 7 xs and this will be my 5th baby to gove borth to. I show fast and you can see my pictures of what I went from 6 weeks to 8 weeks. Then to now. You do get bigger faster but the baby will not measure further along, bigger but not further along.

They should get you in the hospital scan for dates and that should not take longer then a week! That is the dr office not the imagining center! I would get a new dr! Once you are pregnant they another dr can get you in fast as apposed to not being pregnant!

It sounds like you had your period from your description. I experienced implantation bleeding and it was noticably different than my period, it was darker, significantly lighter and lasted only a day or so.

She tried to book me for the dating ultrasound but the imaging center is booked solid!! My doctor said my uterus could be bigger this time because of it being my second pregnancy.
And also thats what I figured, is that it couldn't be implantation bleeding because I would be in my second trimester already and I seriously don't think I am that far along!

Implantation bleeding occurs 5-7 days after ovulation and the luteal phase is usually around 13-15 days So that would not be implantation bleeding. If you were a month further which you would have to be then you would be 13 weeks along. The only way to know how far along you are is by ulrasound. Sometimes woman may have a period when they are pregnant. The earlier you get a ultrasound the best as they are off the further along you get. You may be having two and why it is bigger. Did they schedule you for an ultrasound??
